


Nairobi 11th February 2026: The Diplomatic Community in Nairobi plays a critical role in advancing multilateral diplomacy within the United Nations system, particularly within the UN-Habitat framework. Their unique positioning, representing their countries both bilaterally to Kenya and multilaterally to the United Nations in Nairobi, makes their presence significant and invaluable.
As Kenya prepares to host the Second Session of the Africa Urban Forum in Nairobi from 8th -10th April,2026, The Government of Kenya led by Hon. Alice Wahome, EGH, Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing & Urban Development and PS Charles Hinga Mwaura; CBS, convened a Breakfast Meeting to brief Ambassadors on the progress of preparations and to formally extend invitations to their respective capitals for high-level participation in the Forum.
The Africa Urban Forum is expected to deliver tangible and measurable outcomes that will inform Africa’s collective position at the upcoming World Urban Forum in Azerbaijan in May 2026.
