KENYA HOSTS INAUGURAL GLOBAL CHAMPIONS ROUNDTABLE ON HOUSING AT UNGA80

New York, September 25 – Amb. Nakhumicha Wafula, E.G.H., Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the UN-Habitat, participated in the High-Level Roundtable of Global Champions on Adequate and Affordable Housing during the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The inaugural event, hosted by H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya, brought together Members of the Global Champions for Adequate Housing and participants of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The event culminated in key decisions, including a commitment to maintain strong political momentum, mobilize consolidated actions, and reaffirmed that housing is not just infrastructure but a foundation for dignity, prosperity, peace, and hope.
