Busia, 4th November 2025: Members of the Joint Technical Committee (JTC) on the Greater Busia Metro Project paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Paul Otuoma, Governor of Busia County. The JTC is expected to be inaugurated on 5th November in Busia, Uganda.
The delegation comprised H.E. Eunice Kigeni, Ag. Uganda High Commissioner to Kenya and Permanent Representative to UN-Habitat; Amb. Beatrice Karago, Deputy Permanent Representative, Kenya Mission to UN-Habitat; Amb. Dennis Mburu, Deputy Director General, Africa Affairs Directorate, State Department for Foreign Affairs; and officials from the State Departments for Housing and Urban Development, Lands and Physical Planning, the State Law Office, and Devolution.
The delegation also included officials from UN-Habitat, led by Mr. Oumar Syllah, the Africa Regional Director. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the development of the Greater Busia Metro Project.
