Nairobi, 26 March 2026 : H.E. Amb. Nakhumicha Wafula, E.G.H., Kenya’s Permanent Representative to UN-Habitat, participated in the Africa Diplomatic Corps Retreat convened by UN-Habitat. The retreat, serving as a precursor to the 2nd African Urban Forum to be hosted by Kenya in Nairobi from 8–10 April, provided a platform to consolidate Africa’s common position on housing and human settlements.
In her remarks, the Permanent Representative underscored the importance of moving from dialogue to concrete implementation, noting that such a shift would set the tone for Africa’s collective engagement at the upcoming World Urban Forum in May in Baku, Azerbaijan.
