Nairobi, 15 April 2026: H.E. Amb. Nakhumicha Wafula, E.G.H., Kenya’s Permanent Representative to UN-Habitat, held a meeting with H.E. Henriette Geiger, Ambassador of the European Union to Kenya. She conveyed Kenya’s appreciation for the EU’s support through the Go Blue projects implemented in the six coastal counties, as well as for the Partnership in the New Urban Agenda (PINUA) project currently being implemented in Muhoroni and Kisumu Counties.
Amb. Nakhumicha highlighted the significance of the project, noting that it aims to support affordable housing and sustainable urbanization in Kenya. The two further brainstormed on ways to strengthen UN-Habitat, particularly in its role of setting norms and standards for resilient and sustainable urbanization.
