KENYA READY FOR THE RESUMED SECOND SESSION OF THE UN-HABITAT ASSEMBLY IN NAIROBI

H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H., President of the Republic of Kenya, hosted the UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UN-Habitat, Anacláudia Rossbach at State House, Nairobi. Also present was Amb. Grace Okara, Permanent Representative of Kenya to UN-Habitat. H.E. the President reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to strengthening UN-Habitat’s global mandate and its programmes in Kenya, particularly the ongoing collaboration on the Affordable Housing Programme. The Executive Director congratulated the President on the success of the Affordable Housing Programme and invited him to the high-level segment of the Assembly. Kenya is set to host the Universal UN-Habitat Assembly from 29 to 30 May 2025 at the UN Complex in Nairobi.
