KENYA WELCOMES MEMBER STATES TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE UN-HABITAT EXECUTIVE BOARD 2025

UN Headquaters Nairobi 25th November 2025: The third session of the UN-Habitat Executive Board 2025 opened today at the United Nations Complex in Gigiri. The meeting was officially opened by Hon. Alice Wahome, EGH., Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing & Urban Development.
Also participating were officials from the Permanent Mission led by H.E. Amb. Nakhumicha Wafula, E.G.H., Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the UN-Habitat.
Kenya in its capacity as chair of the Ad hoc Working Group on Programmatic , Budgetary and Administrative Committee reported to the Board on the work of the committee.
The two-day meeting will review UN-Habitat’s progress, the Strategic Plan 2026–2029, and assess preparations for the World Urban Forum WUF 13 to be held in 2026, as well as the UNGA midterm review of the New Urban Agenda
