Mission staff benefit from capacity development programme sponsored by FLLoCA on Climate Change Diplomacy and Communication

Naivasha, 11th March 2025 – The Permanent Mission of Kenya to UN-Habitat led by the Permanent Representative, Amb. Grace Okara is undergoing a climate change diplomacy and communication training workshop in Naivasha under the sponsorship of Financing Locally-Led Climate Action program in Kenya (FLLoCA), a unit in the National Treasury.

The overall objective of the workshop is to develop capacity of the Mission to understand topical issues related to climate change and financing, and linking them for effective diplomatic engagement.

The workshop was opened by Mr. Peter Odhengo, FLLoCA Programme Coordinator, who challenged Foreign Service officers to become more versed in climate change and finance diplomacy for effective engagement. For her part, the Permanent Representative urged the officers to seize the opportunity to improve themselves professionally and for the benefit of the country.
