Nairobi, 17th August 2026: H.E. Amb. Nakhumicha Wafula, E.G.H., Kenya’s Permanent Representative to UN-Habitat, was honoured to host Ms. Anacláudia Rossbach, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UN-Habitat, for a courtesy call at the Chancery.
The meeting discussed plans for the celebration of UN-Habitat’s Golden Jubilee and the milestones achieved so far during its five decades of existence. UN-Habitat was established in 1977 through Resolution 32/162 and is one of the two United Nations programmes headquartered in Kenya.
